Chobani partners with AIS to fuel athlete performance
Chobani has announced a new partnership with The Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), supporting athlete performance through evidence-based nutrition – and helping bring credible, practical fuelling messages to everyday Australians.
Under the partnership, athletes training and attending camps at the AIS will have access to a range of Chobani yoghurt products across on‑campus athlete environments, providing convenient options that support recovery, energy and overall wellbeing as part of a balanced routine.
Beyond campus, the partnership will use athlete‑led social storytelling featuring Chobani to share practical, AIS-informed nutrition tips – turning performance thinking into real‑world habits everyday Australians can use.
Australian footballer Michelle Heyman and long jumper Brooke Buschkuehl will serve as athlete ambassadors for the partnership, helping to connect high performance routines with everyday, relatable approaches to fuelling well.
AIS Director Matti Clements said the partnership would enhance the support available to athletes across a range of sports.
“The AIS is delighted to partner with Chobani and expand the nutrition options available to athletes training on campus,” Clements said.
“We know that high-quality nutrition plays a critical role in performance, recovery and overall wellbeing, and this partnership ensures our athletes have access to trusted products to support their daily training environments.”
“Working with partners like Chobani allows us to continue building a world class high-performance system that supports athletes to perform at their best.”

Chobani General Manager – Marketing Ellie Vince said the partnership is about using trusted sport credibility to make good nutrition feel simpler and more accessible – for athletes and everyday Australians.
“At Chobani, we believe good food can help people show up at their best – whether that’s on the track, on the pitch, or in a busy everyday routine,” Vince said.
“We’re proud to support AIS athletes with yoghurt made with simple ingredients, and to work together on content that helps turn nutrition principles into real habits people can actually follow.”
Heyman – a champion footballer who has been using the AIS facilities since 2010 – said she was proud to be part of a partnership that highlights the importance of fuelling the body properly.
“Nutrition plays such a vital role in how we prepare and perform, both on and off the pitch,” Heyman said.
“My first experience at the AIS was in 2010, and over the past 16 years I have developed so much knowledge around what it takes to be a professional athlete, from strength training to nutrition and recovery.
“Having access to high quality, convenient options like Chobani makes a real difference, especially during busy training and competition periods.”
Buschkuehl, Australia’s leading female long jumper, said the partnership reinforces the role nutrition plays in elite performance.
“As athletes, we’re always looking for ways to optimise our performance, and nutrition is a huge part of that,” Buschkuehl said.
“This partnership helps make it easier for athletes to access products that support recovery and keep us performing at our best.”
“As athletes we’re always looking for ways to optimise our performance, and nutrition is a huge part of that.
What we fuel our bodies with directly impacts how we train, how we recover, and ultimately how we show up on competition day.”
